“Are they likely to face a lot of extra scrutiny and criticism? I would expect that. Saying that someone has been sentencing Black people to twice as long as white people their entire career, I would think they would get enormous attention,” said Adam Benforado, who teaches criminal law at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia.
