SCOTUS Decision Prompts Federal Judiciary to Request Five More District Court Judges in Oklahoma

The Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling in McGirt v. Oklahoma recognized much of the eastern portion of the state as Native American lands, limiting state jurisdiction and shifting prosecutions to federal or tribal courts in the eastern part of the state.
