Bench Report: Are Politics Tainting Judicial Elections + Judges Judging History

“When you put a partisan label on a judicial candidate, it creates a hope, perhaps with people who share that judge’s party or a fear for people who don’t aren’t in that judge’s party, that the judge is going to be toeing a partisan line,” a candidate for North Carolina Supreme Court said.
