Federal Judge Claude M. Hilton agreed that officers Lucas Vinyard and Alejandro Amaya were entitled to “supremacy clause” immunity from prosecution in the shooting because their actions were “necessary and proper under the circumstances” and “there [was] no evidence that the officers acted with malice, criminal intent or improper motivation,” according to court records.
