Hunter Biden Enters Tax Plea Deal, Likely Probation on Gun Charges

Hunter Biden has pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges of willful failure to pay income taxes—amounting to roughly $1 million—and will likely enter into a probationary agreement for possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of controlled substances, according to a June 20 filing in the U.S. District Court of Delaware. The felony charge for the latter includes a maximum penalty of 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The filing from David C. Weiss, U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware who has been conducting the probe into Hunter Biden’s potential misconduct, stated that both parties call for a Pretrial Diversion Agreement on the unlawful gun posession charge. The agreement may lead to the dismissal of the felony charge after a probationary period.
